01Who is responsible

Apartments Martinis, Antonijeta and Luka Martinis, Vinka Foretića 3 and Zrinsko Frankopanska 27, 21485 Komiža, Croatia. We decide what happens to the data you send us.

02What we receive and why

An enquiry. The Enquiry form asks for your arrival and departure dates, how many adults and children, the apartment you would like, your name and e-mail address and, if you wish, a message. With the enquiry we store the page language, the time it was sent and the IP address it came from. We use the data to answer you and offer you accommodation, because you ask for that before a contract. We use the IP address only to protect the form from abuse, which is our legitimate interest.

A booking. When we confirm an enquiry it becomes a booking and we use the data to prepare your stay; the legal basis is the accommodation contract. From rezervacije@apartments-martinis.com we may send you a welcome message with useful information and a message before your departure.

Phone and e-mail. When you call or write to us, we see your number or address and what you write, and we use it to answer you.

Airbnb. For bookings made through Airbnb we exchange only the taken dates with Airbnb, never guests' names.

Visiting the site. Like every web server, ours records each request: the IP address, the time, the page asked for and the browser type. This serves only the running and security of the site, which is our legitimate interest.

Nothing is paid on this site, we send no newsletter and we do not sell your data.

03Who else sees data

• Our hosting and maintenance provider: the server of the site and of the enquiry and booking system is in Germany, in the EU, and e-mails leave from it.
• Cloudflare delivers and protects the site, so it briefly sees your IP address and browser type.
• Google: our mailbox is on Gmail, so the notice of every enquiry arrives there.
• Airbnb, taken dates only, as described above.
• Map links open Google or Apple Maps in a new tab, where their own privacy rules apply.
• We give your data to no one for their own purposes.

04Transfers outside the EU

Cloudflare and Google are US companies and may process data in the United States. For that they rely on the EU-US Data Privacy Framework and the European Commission's standard contractual clauses.

Daily backup copies of the database are also kept with an external backup service outside the European Union.

05How long we keep it

• An enquiry that does not become a booking: 12 months from receipt, then it is deleted automatically.
• A booking: as long as needed for your stay and as long as accounting and tax rules require.
• The counter that protects the form from abuse and holds the IP address: 1 hour.
• The enquiry notice in our mailbox: for as long as we keep our mail. We delete it if you ask.
• Server records: about 14 days, then deleted automatically.

06Cookies

The site sets no cookies of its own and has no analytics and no advertising. Cloudflare may set technically necessary security cookies, and your browser only remembers that you closed the cookie notice (am_ck, sent nowhere).

07Your rights

You may ask for access to your data, its correction or erasure, restriction of processing and a portable copy, and you may object to processing. One message to the address above is enough.

If you believe your rights have been infringed, you can lodge a complaint with the Croatian data protection authority, the Agencija za zaštitu osobnih podataka, or with the supervisory authority of the country where you live.

08Children

This site is not aimed at children under 16. An adult sends the enquiry, and for children we ask only how many are coming, never their names.

09Security

The site only works over an encrypted connection, and enquiries and bookings are available only to us, behind a protected login.

10Changes

If what the site collects changes, this page changes with it. The date of the last change is at the top.
